How does Kismet detect my trips?
Kismet can detect trips from your Gmail inbox (booking confirmations), your device calendar, or Google Calendar. You choose which sources to connect. You can also add trips manually.
Who can see my trips?
You control trip visibility. Each trip can be set to Private (only you), Friends (your friends on Kismet), or Public (visible to followers). No trip is ever shared without your explicit consent.
Can I disconnect my Google or Apple account?
Yes. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts to disconnect Google or Apple. If Google or Apple is your only login method, you'll need to set an account password first so you don't lose access.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your account will be deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 7 days. You can sign back in during the grace period to cancel deletion.
Does Kismet store my emails?
No. Kismet reads your emails solely to extract trip details (destination and dates). We do not store, share, or retain the content of your emails. You can revoke Gmail access at any time from Settings.
Does Kismet share my location?
Kismet uses your location only during initial setup to detect your home city. We never track your real-time location. Friends only see the city name and dates of your trips, never exact coordinates.
Is Kismet free?
Yes. Kismet is free to use with no ads or premium tiers.
